We are Los Reyes del Vallenato and Los Corraleros de Miami, the two most active Colombian bands in Florida. Over the last 15 years we have played more than 2,500 events across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, plus tours to Orlando, Tampa, Naples and out-of-state.
Vallenato is the heartbeat of Colombia — accordion, caja, guacharaca and powerful vocals — but our sets go well beyond that. A typical wedding includes cumbia, vallenato, salsa, merengue, bachata and champeta. The end result is a Latin band that keeps the dance floor full whether your guests are Colombian, Cuban, Venezuelan, Dominican, Mexican or non-Latin friends meeting Latin music for the first time.

If you're searching for a "Colombian band Miami" or a "Latin live band" for a wedding, the actual music we play is more varied than the search term suggests. A typical 3-hour set covers six genres natively, mixed throughout the night to match your guests and the energy of the room.
Vallenato is the backbone — accordion-driven Colombian folk music with both classic (Diomedes Díaz, Binomio de Oro, Jorge Oñate) and modern artists (Silvestre Dangond, Peter Manjarrés, Felipe Peláez). Romantic, danceable, and immediately recognizable for any Colombian guest.
Cumbia brings the slower, hypnotic Caribbean rhythm everyone can dance to — even guests who have never heard Spanish music before. Lucho Bermúdez, Totó la Momposina, and modern cumbia hits.
Salsa Colombiana is its own thing — heavier on percussion and lyrics than Cuban or Puerto Rican salsa. Joe Arroyo, Niche, Guayacán. Great for getting older guests to the dance floor early.

Booking a Spanish wedding band in Miami is different from booking a generic wedding band. Latin weddings have specific moments where live music matters — the entrance of the couple, the first dance, the hora loca, and the late-night peak when older relatives finally let loose. We've worked these moments for over 600 weddings.
The most common format for a Miami wedding: cocktail hour with an acoustic trio (vallenato romantic + boleros + bossa), main reception with the full 7-9 piece ensemble for dinner and dancing, hora loca at around 11 PM with percussion and accessories to peak the energy, and we hand off to the DJ for the final hour. We don't compete with the DJ — we coordinate, alternate, and end with the audience exhausted in the best way.
If you're a wedding planner reading this, we've worked with most of the premium planners in Miami. We arrive on time, dressed correctly for the venue, with our own sound system and a clear set list that we run by you in advance. We bring liability insurance and a W-9 ready. What is a vallenato band?
Vallenato is a traditional Colombian folk music style centered around the accordion, with caja vallenata (small drum), guacharaca (scraper), bass and vocals. A vallenato band brings this energetic, danceable rhythm to weddings and parties — it is one of the most popular live music genres at Colombian and Latin American events in Miami.
Can the band perform in English too?
Yes. Our singers are bilingual and we can host events in English or Spanish. The vallenato repertoire is naturally in Spanish, but we adapt MC and announcements to your audience. We also mix in cumbia, salsa, merengue and bachata to please mixed crowds.
How much does it cost to hire a vallenato band in Miami?

How far in advance should I book?
For weddings and Saturday events between April and October, we recommend booking 2–6 months ahead. Last-minute bookings are possible depending on availability — message us on WhatsApp and we will check our calendar immediately.
What is the difference between a Colombian band and a generic Latin band?
A Colombian band specializes in Colombian genres — vallenato, cumbia, porro, fandango, salsa colombiana, champeta. A generic Latin band typically focuses on Cuban salsa, merengue and bachata. We do both: the Colombian core is what makes us distinct, but we mix in genres from across Latin America for mixed-heritage weddings and corporate events. If your event has Colombian roots, you want a Colombian band, not a generic Latin one.
Do you provide Certificate of Insurance for venues that require it?
Yes. We carry liability insurance up to $1M and issue Certificates of Insurance naming your venue as Additional Insured. This is required by most Miami hotels (1 Hotel, Faena, JW Marriott, W) and by Disney resorts in Orlando. We need at least 5 business days notice (10 for Disney).
Can you coordinate with our DJ?
Yes — this is the most common setup at Miami weddings. We don't replace your DJ; we work in alternating blocks. Typical timeline: DJ for cocktail hour, live band for ceremony entrance and first dance, DJ for early reception, live band for hora loca and main dancing block, DJ for the final hour. We coordinate timings with the DJ in advance and meet them on the day of the event.
Do you also play corporate events and product launches?
Yes. We regularly work with Hispanic-focused brands, fintechs and banks in Brickell for product launches, end-of-year parties, and Hispanic Heritage Month activations. We issue formal invoices, accept ACH and wire payments, and provide W-9 forms. The repertoire adapts to the audience — more cocktail-friendly for early hours, more energetic for the dancing portion.
What's the difference between hiring you and hiring individual musicians?
Individual musicians may show up unrehearsed, with inconsistent equipment, and in random attire. We're a legally constituted Florida LLC with a steady lineup — the people you see in our videos are the people who will play at your event. We carry insurance, issue invoices, arrive uniformed, and have a 4.5-star rating with 42 real Google reviews. The price difference is usually small; the reliability difference is enormous.
Can you play at quinceañeras and Sweet 15 parties?
Yes — quinceañeras are one of our most-booked event types in South Florida. We typically come in after the DJ does the formal waltz, and we deliver a high-energy live set for the main dancing block (vallenato modern + cumbia + champeta + reggaetón crossover). The combination of live band + DJ is what makes a quinceañera memorable beyond the typical playlist event.
